BATS Club - Membership

The BATS Club All-Ability Inclusive Activities Program is is designed to include participants with all abilities. Your family members, friends, and support workers are all eligible to become members and join in as participants, helpers or spectators. Our program has a wide range of activities including our Beep Cricket program.

To become a member, please email your contact details to info@batsau.org and a staff member from your local BATS Club will then contact you by phone or email to arrange your membership.

The annual membership fee is $20.00 and the membership renewal date is 1 July each year. Your local BATS Club will contact you in June each year to arrange renewal of your membership.

Membership will commence once the membership fee is paid and after Committee approval. New members will be advised by email of their membership application’s success. A membership card will be provided to you on your first visit to your local BATS Club after membership approval.

BATS Club - Volunteer

To manage the BATS Club All-Ability Inclusive Activities Program we must involve local volunteers who would like to make a difference when it comes to helping people with disability be more inclusive members of their local community. This work can be very rewarding to those who want to make a difference.

Many tasks go into running our events and so the variety of duties are most likely to ensure you are doing work that you enjoy. Volunteer tasks include:

  • Participant support – on-field and off-field assistance.
  • Activity Officials – umpires, scorers, first aid and safety officers.
  • Recruitment.
  • Fundraising.
  • Grant writing.
  • Canteen and BBQ.
  • Cleaning.
  • Ground management – mowing, line-marking, event setup / pack up.
  • Coaching.
  • Photography and videos.
  • News reporter.
  • Activity managers.
  • Transport.
  • Social media, blogs, and marketing.
